The Peter Joseph Lenné Prize, awarded by the State of Berlin since 1965, honours the landscape architect and urban planner of the same name and is regarded as the most prestigious ideas competition for emerging talent in garden and landscape architecture, open-space planning and urban development.

The prize helps to introduce forward-looking ideas on design, planning and the use of plants into landscape architecture and open-space planning, whilst at the same time supporting the professional development of young planners and designers.

This year, the prize will be awarded for the following three projects:

  • Berlin – Tilla-Durieux-Park – Open space in the face of climate change (regional)
  • Freiburg – Public spaces in transition (national)
  • Prague – Žižkov freight station – Sustainable neighbourhood development (international)
